Proverbs 18: 21-22

21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. 22: He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord .

I would want to discuss the law of attraction saana especially now that I landed on these beautiful fingers to model for this post. 😂 Well, I had been an ardent fan of that law but I even believed it the more when I learnt that its God’s law but men want to twist it to suit their fancy and remove the God factor… I have attracted a lot… Military life, Ops life, aviation life… Including trouble 😂 😂… Especially trouble…

Today I want to share a little about attracting people in our lives. That’s why I threw in verse 21 in there. We have at least, at one point in life said that “There are no good men to marry” or “There are no good women to marry nowadays.” What do you think? Or better, what do you tell yourself?

It’s a great lie to self to think in these lines. I’m a man so I’ll speak more from a male perspective. There are wives all over. For Adam to recognize Eve, he had that capacity in him to see that that thing moving around was like him… Adam was pure in some sense before sin took over. Like Jesus… Which is why husbands are told to love their wives like Jesus loved the Church… Husbands not men… Wives not women. 👌

So in my verse pick for today… Proverbs here says that “He who finds a wife, finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.” For a man to recognize a wife… He has to be a husband himself 😊. The same applies to a woman… For her to recognize (& get) a husband, she has to be a wife. I want to connect that with the ‘neighbour’ verse to that one. I know they are a little unrelated but it’s the same Word of God. About the power of the Tongue… Right. I believe that the reason people are struggling with getting “their people” is because they don’t have those characteristics they need to be and get those people they need to attract in their lives. For many years for instance I had the mentality that I wouldn’t want anything to do with women. Weird because I had relationships (& some real crazy ones I tell you – I thank God and the blood of Jesus for Salvation 🙋🏽‍♂️) but never thought of marriage. Now that was the real naivety. Forget the pressure from everyone around you and all the “Utaoa lini” narrative that leads to people settling for what God hasn’t approved just to check of that item on the life goals list. Then there was that point in life when I thought I was ready and every lady that accepted to have coffee felt like they were perfect candidates for this. 🙆‍♂️ The confusion that came with it, was from another planet – My goodness!!!

After a lot of confusion… The word of God came to the rescue. The verse in proverbs above is about finding a wife. A wife. This means a woman who has already worked on herself to be a wife. A woman who has already transformed herself to be a wife. Now who is this woman? The Proverbs 31 woman, the Ephesians 5 woman, The Titus 2 woman, Sarahs Rebeccas, Esther’s pick your Bible and name them… You get my drift right? Fine, the argument is, both divides feel that the other is more superior than the other. What I mean is “There are no good men nowadays”, “There are no good women nowadays”... “All men are xxx”… “all women are xxx”

The men hold the same responsibility to work on themselves to be Husbands. Husbands… Again who is a husband? Not just a man… A deep voice and extra muscle doesn’t make a man a husband… The Ephesians 5 man, Titus 2 man again, Ideals and wisdom churned out in Proverbs, and the entire Word of God and the No. 1 role model who is Jesus Christ. Only this kind of man will be able to recognize a wife. In short only Husbands can recognize Wives and only Wives can recognize Husbands. Now, this is a challenging journey. A journey as tough as the military and aviation life which I plan to share as part of the third aspect of Kriscalf Exposed. (1. Career. 2. Social 3. Spiritual)

At whatever level you are. (I am at Level 10 myself.) – Never mind the parameters 😋. Let’s work on ourselves to be husbands and work on ourselves to be wives. Using God’s template. There is no shortcut to any destination worth going. Let’s agree to pay the price to be husbands… Pay the price to be wives. Start by eliminating that mentality that there are no ~. Ever heard of people who have dated for 5 years plus… But then at some point, they break that off and “get” into another relationship and they get married in a year? That’s where the reality of “God’s thoughts & ways not being the thoughts & ways of men…” in Isaiah 55: 8 & 9 strikes home.

What do you think about this?
