Church Man vs Jesus Man

Recently I visited my Parent’s and minutes into a conversation with a friend of mine who we grew up together, they said “Na umekuwa mtu church siku hizi” (You have become a church person lately) πŸ€”… I was like “No! NO! buddy… ☝🏽*Jesus person* is more like it, I was still a church person”. “Saved and Delivered!!!”.

What was weird about this is, this is a person who saw me through my younger life. And they knew… I used to get to church at 6am and leave almost at 6pm and then later on in life though the hours reduced, I would still spend more than service time at church.

“Church” is not necessarily it. Its easy to be in church all days of the week AND STILL NOT HAVE a RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. THAT’S the difference. In my old life, and my NEW LIFE. As much as I used to go to church and actually serve, I didn’t know that I needed to have a relationship with God and even how to have that relationship with Him. A relationship of non-ending growth.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

A relationship with God. And an ACTUAL RELATIONSHIP & WALK with God. Being ‘churchy’ isn’t it! I cannot think, I cannot talk, I cannot operate like I used to do in the former life. A total transformation. As a journey, it includes falls, bruises, punctures, bends, curves, hills and valleys, but I faith on forward holding on tight as Christ works on me perfecting me every day.

So just incase you’re wondering. CHURCH DID NOT HAPPENπŸ‘ŒπŸ½. JESUS HAPPENEDπŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ. All this new me… Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!

Just incase you’re wondering how I got saved … Here is the story.
