I haven’t read many books this year as I have done in the previous years. Every time I meet a fellow bookworm and book lover, I feel like I betrayed them, somehow… I also feel like I have repeated this statement more than enough times now. I have been reading. Alot… More than before actually, only that its not from ‘mainstream’ books. This is about my brief chase for Me and My Big Mouth.
Me and My Big Mouth: Your Answer Is Right Under Your Nose, is authored by Joyce Meyer. Funny enough, I don’t know what is in there but once I read it, I might write a review or share the lessons on this platform somehow. It is under the spiritual growth series. I have wanted to own this book since April. But I had been too busy to get an opportunity to buy it. When I finally had time to get the book, there was none in stock at the two stores which were a short distance from me. That is Text Book Center – Garden City and Text Book Center – Thika Road Mall. I never searched it again.
What is weird is that this is the year I had decided to read less of ‘other books’ and more of the Bible. I still had that urge to get the book since it is under the spiritual growth category and somehow aligned to my purpose year. So a few weeks back I got a brilliant idea; To search it on book forums and bookstores online. Amazon gave me the best results. It’s funny that this idea hadn’t hit me at first. I realised that the book was fairly priced here, and it would be delivered to my Kindle App immediately. I don’t even understand why I didn’t have some of all these books I have wanted to read 🤦🏽♂️. – I had forgotten. So I searched for this book on Amazon and placed it in my wish list. (People… Once in a while walk by my Amazon wishlist or my Goodreads wishlist. I wouldn’t mind one of those wishes coming true! 😂 😂 😂). I was hoping someone would surf by my wishlist and gift me that book. Little did I know God wanted to come through for me Himself.

A gift came through indeed. This was the miracle – Two hits in one. I’m just gliding through work when a dividend notification comes through one of my messaging platforms. The excitement was equivalent to the confusion that came with it. For starters, I haven’t been a shareholder of that company for some years now. I sold that stock two years ago when I was in a serious financial crisis. But! I have been considering reinvesting in it again after full recovery. I have actually prayed about it and asked God to guide me on my investment decisions and in this particular case, for Him to show me where I should invest, among other financial decisions and lessons I needed to learn. God answered at that moment. True to His word in Mathew 7:7, “Ask and it shall be given”… He also gives us according to the desires of our hearts when we delight ourselves in Him, as written in Psalms 37:4.

The choice of this book would be tough to explain at this point, but as I proceed I will definitely share it here on this blog. Well, you have probably guessed what happened after this. I didn’t hesitate to buy the books that had been on my wishlist for that period 😂. Very fast! I may not read them immediately, but atleast they are in my Library. That answer and direction to Buy! Buy! Buy! In relation to that book was an outright answer as to where I should invest my money, when the time comes. The Lord comes through in unexpected ways brothers and sisters🙌. Keep your hearts open and expect His provision in whatever way, as long as its in His will.
